When 12V makes sense
- Shorter runs where voltage drop is not a major issue.
- Projects that already use 12V controllers, dimmers or power supplies.
- Small furniture, shelves or local accent lighting.
When 24V makes sense
- Longer linear runs where voltage drop matters.
- Projects with higher total power requirements.
- Installations where fewer power injection points are preferred.

FAQ
Can I connect a 12V strip to a 24V power supply?
No. The strip voltage and power supply voltage must match. Connecting the wrong voltage can damage the LED strip.
Does 24V mean brighter?
Not by itself. Brightness depends on LED type, density, power per meter, diffuser, installation and product quality.
How do I reduce voltage drop?
Use the correct voltage, choose suitable cable size, keep runs within product limits and add power injection where needed.
